Handmade jewellery and Paintings

Archana is a Mumbai based Indian signature Artist for Lalima. She sells her unique pieces in India, America and Australia.

Archana’s collection comprises of ladies jewellery and art. The jewellery is made using the quilling technique. All pieces are made by hand. Quilling otherwise known as Filigree,is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled and shaped together to create decorative designs. This is an ancient art form, practiced since the Renaissance period, possibly first made by monks and nuns to decorate religious objects.

Subjects of Archana's paintings range from Indian ethnic and folk art, mosaic art, land and seascapes, miniature art, animals, birds, freehand designs ,glass painting, oil on canvas, portraits, religious painting , contemporary and abstracts art.

“My work is the process of discovery; it has a universal language which speaks about my true feelings, colour, inspirations, techniques, imaginations, culture and nature. It is stirred within the soul. I try all possibilities of what can be done with colour on different mediums to embrace spirituality”. 

The fusion blend of East and West through the colours and designs of the products on display is a story that recreates the history and culture of this multicultural, diverse and progressive country.
